monk at the Do- Drul Chorten Stupa In Gangtok, Sikkim.
Built in 1945, Do Drul Chorten is one of the biggest stupas near Gangtok, Sikkim. Nearby to the Chorten, are more than 108 'Mani-Lhakor' (Prayer Wheels). In Buddhist ritual, pilgrims turn these wheels while incating prayers or mantras that are engraved on them. Each spire of the Do Drul Chorten is engraved in gold.
